InputMapper 1.7

InputMapper 1.7 takes the original goals of DSDCS’s DS4Windows and earlier versions of InputMapper and expands on them.

Originally meant for mapping between a DualShock 4 and a virtual Xbox 360 controller to add support for the controller to games that only allow for XInput, IM now supports numerous input devices and mapping to numerous output devices.

Coupled with advanced macro and customization options, IM gives users the ability to not only change the device type, but how inputs are transformed and applied.

  1. hi i am try to use ur system but its not working and i cant get my ps4 controller but when i do get my ps4 controller on the system and when i turn my pc off and on the system will not come bk on at all can you help me ???

  2. My games don’t seem to pick up my ps4 controller using 1.7 but work flawlessly on 1.6. Any idea why that is? Its the only reason I haven’t updated.

  3. Hi wobbles! I’ve been a fan of Input Mapper and I’ve used it for years.

I decided very recently to update my version of it. I unfortunately forget what version I used to use, but I tried the recent one today. I was very saddened to find that many options I used to use are seemingly unavailable.

I can no longer customize the color of the DS4 light, nor can I use the light to indicate a battery setting. I can no longer use the touchpad as a mouse by clicking the touchpad button, nor use two fingers drawing across the touchpad to scroll. I can no longer set the sensitivity of the tap click either.

By chance, is there a way to download older versions where these options were still present?

A separate issue I have is that I can just about never manage to log in through the application itself, only here on the website.

  4. Oh, dear me, my apologies. It appears I had got mixed up on which version was newer, having downloaded v1.7.7452.13622 instead of v1.6.9.16357.

My mistake! I expected 1.7 to be a more recent version than 1.6.

  5. I’m a first time user of InputMapper, I didn’t even know what it is but some huge store, like Walmart but in Portugal, is selling a chinese-made controller as their brand and they advertise it as PC-compatible.. by using your software! What a bunch of croocks.

Anyways, I want to tell you that IM 1.7 crashes on my Windows 10 system, but 1.6 runs. I would say works, but the controller is not working whatever I do :-F

  6. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this. Its the only input converter I’ve found that works for my Dualshock 4.
